Project Overview

This project explores how interactive 3D visualization can enhance customer confidence in premium automotive services.

We built a web-based POC that enables users to preview how their car would look after applying different PPF or window tint options.

Beyond color changes, the system also demonstrates how material surface properties—such as gloss, matte, and reflectivity—affect the final appearance.

The goal was to validate whether real-time visualization could replace static photos and samples in the sales process.

The Challenge

For services like PPF and window tinting, customers often struggle to visualize the final result before committing. Physical samples and before/after photos provide limited context and vary depending on lighting and vehicle shape.

The client wanted a more engaging way to:

Showcase premium materials
Demonstrate surface finish differences
Reduce hesitation during decision-making

Our Solution

We implemented the solution using Verge3D, a one-time licensed 3D web toolkit that enables direct visualization and interaction with glTF scenes in the browser. By leveraging Verge3D, we avoided complex custom wiring between the web application layer and the 3D models. This significantly reduced integration overhead and allowed the team to focus on what mattered most: rapid iteration, visual accuracy, and model scalability.

The approach enabled a streamlined pipeline where 3D scenes authored in Blender are exported directly to the web, interactions and material variations are applied without heavy custom glue code, and new car models and materials can be added quickly with minimal engineering effort.

This setup allows the client to move fast, validate ideas early, and progressively expand the catalog of supported vehicles and materials without reworking the core system.
